The nursing intensive care program is designed to prepare nurses to play the role of a critical care nurse in a healthcare setting. The content includes an introduction to critical care nursing with common health and physical assessment skills, diagnostic tests, interventions management, and nutritional measures integrated throughout the content areas. Content areas are developed around the body systems: neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, renal, endocrine, hematological, trauma and emergencies, and professional practice.
